The Special Forces: Tripawds of Cunningham Canine Squad

Campaign Name: The Cunningham Special Forces

3 Legs. 100% Heart. The Guardians of Vasant Nagar.

  • "Special Forces" flips the narrative from "disabled/pity cases" to resilient heroes. It aligns perfectly with the "Cunningham Canine Squad" umbrella and turns the dogs into local neighborhood legends that people want to protect and stand up for.

  • The Slogan: "Vasant Nagar Stands for Those Who Stand on Three."

Branding the 5 Tripod Heroes

Each dog has a distinct "hero profile" , and we want to build emotional investment, especially for residents who might otherwise overlook them.

  1. Ramu — "The Warrior"

    • Location: 7th Cross, Vasanth Nagar (Near his elderly caretaker)

    • Story: The ultimate survivor. Rebuilding his life with his devoted guardian, supported by the squad.

  2. Pippin — "The Hopper"

    • Location: Specific Vasant Nagar pocket

    • Story: The agile hitcher who refuses to let missing mobility slow him down.

  3. Goldie / Beauty — "The Salon Sentinel"

    • Location: Black and Gold Beauty Salon entrance

    • Story: The welcoming face opposite Mahaveer Jain Hospital.

  4. Oyo / Shadow — "The Alley Scout"

    • Location: Near OYO Hotel (lane next door)

    • Story: The skittish neighborhood watcher, keeping an eye on the hospital lane.

  5. Jain / Echo — "The Eastside Guardian"

    • Location: Other side of Mahaveer Jain Hospital

    • Story: The anchor on the eastern boundary.

2. Campaign Twist & Strategic Linkages

Twist 1: The "Tag-Team Guardianship" (Micro-Sponsorship & Eyes on the Ground)

Because these dogs live in smaller, less visible pockets nd off the main roads, we cannot rely on a single person or traditional foot traffic.

  • Zone Captains & Micro-Sponsors: Create a roster where 2–3 volunteers are assigned to one specific dog.

  • The "Eye-on-Ramu" Safety Watch: For high-risk areas (like Ramu’s spot), explicitly assign daily visual check-ins to ensure no further human cruelty occurs. Publicizing that a watch team is actively logging Ramu’s safety dailyacts as a powerful deterrent against the abuser.

Twist 2: "Dwiddlywinks x Human Disability Solidarity"

Partnering with human disability advocacy groups and linking with the Dwiddlywinks Facebook group creates a unique, deeply empathetic narrative.

  • Co-Campaign: "Resilience Has No Species."

  • Inclusion: Invite human amputees, wheelchair users, and disability rights advocates for a joint awareness walk/meet-and-greet in Vasant Nagar. This transforms animal welfare into an inclusive human-animal solidarity movement, attracting media and community respect.

3. Communication & Press Strategy

Social Media Strategy (Instagram / Facebook / WhatsApp)

  • The "Special Forces Dossier": Launch visual graphic cards introducing each dog with their photo, location, personality, and specific care needs (e.g., daily feeding schedule, wound check, supplement needs).

  • The "Ramu Safety Pledge": A targeted local post calling out community protection: "Ramu survived cruelty and gangrene. Vasant Nagar will make sure he never faces harm again. Report any threat immediately."

  • Hashtags: #CunninghamSpecialForces #Dwiddlywinks #TripodsOfVasantNagar #ResilienceInVasantNagar

Press Release Angle

Headline: "Vasant Nagar’s ‘Special Forces’: How Bangalore Neighborhood is Rallying to Protect & Celebrate Its Amputee Street Dogs"

  • Focus: How a community is integrating human disability advocacy with animal rescue to turn vulnerable street dogs into proud neighborhood mascots, starting with Ramu’s dramatic rescue by ALAI.

4. Milestones & Operational Deliverables

Phase 1: Mobilization (Weeks 1–2)
├── Map & Profile: Document all 5 dogs' exact locations, care routines, and medical status.
├── Tag-Team Formation: Assign 2-3 volunteers per dog for daily visual checks & feeding.
└── Digital Launch: Release "Cunningham Special Forces" campaign on Dwiddlywinks & social media.

Phase 2: On-the-Ground Safety & Care (Weeks 3–4)
├── Community Engagement: Speak with local shopkeepers (e.g., Black & Gold Salon, OYO lane) to make them ally-guardians.
├── Medical Kits: Deploy localized basic wound-care/supplement kits to caretakers.
└── Joint Solidarity Event: Host a small community meet-up / awareness walk with disability advocates.

Phase 3: Sustainability & Expansion (Ongoing)

🐾 INTRODUCING: THE CUNNINGHAM SPECIAL FORCES! 🐾

3 Legs. 100% Heart. The Real Guardians of Vasant Nagar.

They’ve faced the worst of circumstances—cruelty, accidents, and survival against all odds—and emerged as survivors, and absolute heroes.

Now, we’re changing the narrative. We’re not looking for pity. We’re building a guardianship shield for the most resilient members of our Cunningham Canine Squad: Our Vasant Nagar Tripods.

🔥 MEET THE SQUAD:

  • RAMU (7th Cross, Vasanth Nagar): The Warrior. Hacked, injured, rescued by ALAI, and now back home on three legs with his devoted caretaker.

  • PIPPIN: The Hopper. The spirited hitcher who lets nothing slow him down.

  • GOLDIE: The Salon Sentinel. Welcoming everyone outside the Black & Gold Beauty Salon.

  • SHADOW: The Alley Scout. Keeping watch near the OYO Hotel lane.

  • ECHO: The Eastside Guardian. Holding down the fort on the eastern wing of Mahaveer Jain Hospital.

🚨 WHY WE NEED YOU: THE "TAG TEAM GUARDIAN" PLEDGE

These dogs live in quiet, inner pockets of Vasant Nagar where regular foot traffic is low. To keep them safe, fed, medicated, and protected from future harm, we are launching Tag-Team Guardianships.

We are looking for 15 dedicated volunteers to form micro-teams across Vasant Nagar.

Your Mission (Only 15 mins a day):

  • 👁️ Eyes on the Ground: Daily visual safety check-ins (especially for Ramu!).

  • 🍗 Nutrition & Care: Ensure daily meals and basic joint/medication supplements.

  • 📢 Community Pride: Be their voice, build alliances with local shopkeepers, and let everyone know these dogs are WATCHED and LOVED.

In partnership with Dwiddlywinks (Dogs with Disability) and human disability solidarity groups, we are proving that resilience has no species.

🫵 ARE YOU READY TO JOIN THE SQUAD?

Whether you can visit a dog once a day, sponsor their monthly medical/food kit, or help monitor their zone—WE NEED YOUR EYES AND YOUR HEART.
